Question:
UK *All dates of blood/spotting/coloured discharge must be included within the dates. If not, the answer may be incorrect.* - 21st Jan (14.25) - 27th Jan (12pm) - 22nd Feb (10.17) - 1st March (12pm) - 23rd March - blood (15.05) - until present Upon my calculations - early blood appears to have come 3 days 19 hours and 12 mins before my Makan date which is tomorrow (27th March) at 10.17. When adding the early blood days and my habit it comes up to 10 days and 21 hours. I didn’t realise this until today and I haven’t been fasting since Sunday presuming it’s Haydh. It might sound like a silly question, but in this situation with someone who has regular periods and knows the body well enough to know it is Haydh for sure. Would I still fall under the early blood ruling, or is there another way of looking at it?

📝 Answer:

The bleeding and purity (tuh’r) has been in the following sequence:

21 January at 2:25 pm to 27 January at 12:00 pm, a total of 5 days, 21 hours and 35 minutes of period.

25 days, 22 hours and 17 minutes of purity (tuh’r)

22 February at 10:17 am to 1 March at 12:00 pm, a total of 7 days, 1 hour and 43 minutes of period.

22 days, 3 hours and 5 minutes of purity (tuh’r)

23 March at 3:05 pm to 26 March at 10:27 am, a total of 2 days, 19 hours and 22 minutes of bleeding. (This is a case of Ayyam-e-Qabliyya).

❄ Habit: 7 days, 1 hour and 43 minutes/25 days, 22 hours and 17 minutes

It is not correct for you to stop ibadaat when bleeding starts. You should continue ibadaat till 27 March at 10:17 am, the start of your habit.

Your habit days are beginning from 27 March at 10:17 am. If bleeding continues till then, then you should stop praying from 27 March at 10:17 am.

If bleeding stopped at or before 2 April at 4:05 pm, and there was an interval of at 15 days of complete purity after it, all of this will become haidh, and ibadaat performed in this time will become null and void.

If bleeding continues past 2 April at 4:05 pm, all ibadaat will remain valid.

Kindly, keep note of the bleeding/spotting with month, date and time.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
